See attached slides for summary. A total of 7 people signed up for a group-initiated, voluntary ‘Mentor Group’ email distribution list whose purpose is ‘sharing best practices, specific to organizational needs.’ Anyone welcome to join - Re-assessment of interest and email updates will occur quarterly. Next sign up is April 2024. Group discussed current challenges driving the need to relaunch / reboot their policy management program. Namely Mergers, Acquisitions, competing priorities (e.g., new IT systems), and general governance issues impacting process flow and ability to keep documents current. Redefining who needs to be a part of deep content review also a concern. Recommendations included: Standardizing policies (system/corporate draft initial policy content, then distribute to local groups for approval; Standardize areas, align those with oversight persons and map out approval processes.
